Daniel Beasley v. East Coast Foods, Inc. d.b.a. Roscoe’s House of Chicken n’ Waffles Los Angeles Superior Court, Case Number: BC509995 Plaintiff Daniel Beasley, represented by Scott Cummings and Lee Franck, was recently awarded $1,661,800 against Defendant East Coast Foods, Inc. d.b.a. Roscoe’s House of Chicken n’ Waffles in a discrimination, retaliation and harassment case. The Plaintiff alleged he was terminated because of his race and because of his complaints about racial discrimination, racial harassment and sexual harassment. Plaintiff also alleged a hostile work environment based upon race and sex at the restaurant where he worked. In addition to the verdict, the judge awarded $1,578,307.48 for attorneys’ fees and costs.

Raphael Vasquez v. Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority Los Angeles Superior Court, Case Number: BC484335 Plaintiff Raphael Vasquez, represented by Scott Cummings and Lee Franck, was recently awarded $1,904,635 against the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority in a discrimination case whereby Plaintiff alleged he was terminated because of absences due to his disability. In addition to the verdict, the judge awarded $695,976.69 for attorneys’ fees and costs.
